Estas ruinas se encuentran en el valle de Pisco a sólo 3 horas por carretera
asfaltada al sur de la ciudad de Lima.
Existen varias agencias de turismo con expediciones que van a éstas y
otras ruinas localizadas por la autopista los Libertadores.
Lo interesante de estas ruinas es que a pesar de estar hechas mayormente
de adobe y no haber sido restauradas
se encuentran en un estado de conservación aceptable. Otro aspecto digno
de resaltar es la buena planificación de la ciudadela
en
una gran plataforma varios metros por encima del nivel del río que a
pesar de tener crecidas considerables nunca inundó el sitio.

These ruins are located in the valley of Pisco, at about 3 hours by
highway south from the capital city of Lima.
There are various tourist agencies that offer tours to this and other
archaeological sites in the Upper Pisco valley.
The interesting fact about these ruins is that in spite of being mostly
built with adobe and not having been restored
they are fairly well preserved. Another aspect worthy of mention is that
this well planned citadel was built on a great platform
that is several yards above the river, whose level rises considerably in
the rainy season but has never flooded the site.
